Minnaminungu, Mollywood’s nationally acclaimed movie, to be showcased at ALIIFF 2017

Minnaminungu (The Firefly), directed by Anil Thomas, which won numerous national and international accolades, will be screened at All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) 2017 in out-of- competition category.

The third edition of ALIIFF is being organised as a part of Indywood Film Carnival. The carnival positioned as one of the largest film based events in the world will be held at Hyderabad-based Ramoji Film City, the largest film studio in the world, from December 1 to 4.

Surabhi Lakshmi who portrayed the lead role in the movie bagged the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress at 64th National Film Awards. The film also has Krishnan Balakrishnan, Prem Prakash, Balu Narayanan and others in the cast.

The movie scripted by Manoj Ram Singh won over the critics and audiences alike with its realistic portrayal of a middle aged woman, her failing relationship with her daughter and her troubles. Sunil Prem wielded the camera and K Sreenivas edited the film. Ouseppachan scored the music.
